Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in accordance with accounting standards
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reconciliations
  • Handle tax compliance matters, including GST, withholding tax, and corporate tax filings
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets, tracking expenditures against forecasts and providing variance analysis
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries
  • Conduct cash flow management and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs
  • Perform strategic financial analysis and provide recommendations to support business planning and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations
  • Experience in budget preparation, financial analysis, and cash flow management
