Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process and verify payments, invoices, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for review.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations (SST, corporate tax) and statutory requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements, inter-company accounts, and balance sheet items monthly.
- Assist in annual audit, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee inventory accounting where applicable.
- Support the team in implementing process improvements and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
- Minimum 3β5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a similar senior executive role.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, MPERS, and Malaysian tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
