Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Perform variance analysis on monthly management reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Support the FP&A team in the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial performance analysis for leadership review.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage resource allocation and track departmental budget performance.
- Design and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning and new business initiatives.
- Streamline financial reporting processes to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analytical deep-dives for special projects and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, management accounting, or financial planning within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, macros) and experience with financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into executive-level insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong understanding of statutory financial reporting standards and insurance industry KPIs.
