Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare and present insightful financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounts professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions to ensure efficient cash flow and compliance.
- Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies across the finance function.
- Support cross-regional expansion projects by providing financial analysis, feasibility studies, and integration support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and local tax regulations in Malaysia.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced, growing environment.
