Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of security officers to ensure comprehensive coverage of hospital premises.
- Conduct regular patrols and monitor high-tech CCTV surveillance systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
- Act as a first responder to emergency codes, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security threats.
- Manage crowd control and traffic flow within the hospital campus, especially in high-traffic areas like the A&E department.
- Perform preliminary investigations into security breaches or incidents and prepare detailed, accurate reports for management.
- Ensure all security personnel comply with the Private Security Industry Act and hospital internal regulations.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior security officers to maintain high service standards.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Security Officer License issued by the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD).
- Must have attained the 'Supervise Security Officers' WSQ module or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a healthcare or public service environment.
- Strong command of spoken and written English for effective communication and report writing.
- Ability to work in a shift-based environment, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical fitness to handle long hours of patrolling and emergency response duties.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
