Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to fabricate precision sheet metal components for aircraft structures
- Operate CNC machines, hydraulic presses, and specialized hand tools for cutting, bending, and forming metal
- Assemble and install sheet metal components using riveting, welding, and bonding techniques
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with aviation regulations
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft fuselage, wings, and control surfaces
- Maintain detailed documentation of fabrication processes and material specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and optimize production workflows
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent certification)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in aerospace/aviation
- Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and understanding geometric dimensioning
- Certification in welding, NDT, or aircraft maintenance (e.g., EASA Part 66) is advantageous
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulations and quality control standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining safety protocols
