Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams
- Inspect welds for quality, structural integrity, and compliance with standards
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and aligning materials
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in optimal working condition
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and workplace regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
- Document welding processes and maintain quality control records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent technical certification
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in industrial welding environments
- Valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, SIRIM) preferred
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of welding materials and metallurgy fundamentals
