Del Monte Fresh Produce is seeking a skilled Specialist, Accounting to join our dynamic finance team in Davao City. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations across our diverse entities.
Your primary focus will be on conducting complex compliance reviews, managing international and intercompany accounting transactions, and overseeing the month-end closing and reporting processes. You will also take charge of lease-related account management, ensuring all financial records align with international standards. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide actionable insights through rigorous financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure strict compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
- Manage intercompany accounting transactions and perform detailed reconciliations.
- Handle lease-related account management, including calculations, renewals, and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports for management review.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with other finance teams to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of proven experience in accounting, with exposure to international or multi-entity environments.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
