Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and company financial policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform comprehensive bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the tax filing process and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend proactive solutions for process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on US-based clients or US GAAP.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial data clearly.
- Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
- Experience working in a remote, distributed team environment is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work within US time zones as required by the client.
