Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end tax compliance, including SST (Sales and Service Tax) and GST filing for the organization.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including tax schedules and reconciliation reports.
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date in strict compliance with MAS (Malaysian Accounting Standards).
- Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax authorities, and government bodies to resolve queries.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts, bank statements, and inter-company transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and management presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Review and approve invoices and payments in accordance with company financial policies.
- Support the month-end close process and ensure timely reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MICPA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Tax and Accounting within a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations, and MAS standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced functions in Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
