Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate and individual tax computations for a diverse client portfolio.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).
- Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities to optimize client tax positions in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct research on current tax laws, regulations, and industry-specific tax implications.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation for tax audits and internal reviews.
- Collaborate with the audit and advisory departments to provide integrated client solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in Malaysian tax legislation and international tax standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in corporate or personal taxation is preferred; fresh graduates with excellent academic records are encouraged to apply.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Malaysian Income Tax Act and current tax practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with tax software.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
- High attention to detail and strong ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
