Responsibilities
- Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with Singapore tax regulations
- Assist clients with GST filings, tax computations, and documentation requirements
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on legislative changes affecting tax obligations
- Liaise with tax authorities and resolve compliance queries on behalf of clients
- Support senior tax professionals in tax planning and advisory services for SMEs
- Maintain accurate client tax records and documentation in digital filing systems
- Participate in client meetings to explain tax positions and recommend optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (or equivalent qualification)
- 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation or compliance (internship acceptable)
- Familiarity with Singapore tax laws including Income Tax Act and GST regulations
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., IRAS File Transfer, Taxworks) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy and detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Professional certification (ACCA, CA, CPA) or pursuing qualification preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
