Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems when breakdowns occur.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with production staff to minimise downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial technician role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and basic hydraulics/pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts if required.
