Komatsu East Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a leading heavy equipment dealer for Komatsu, Bomag and LS, is looking for a motivated Trainee Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this role, you will receive hands‑on training from senior technicians while contributing to the maintenance, inspection, and repair of a wide range of construction and mining equipment.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and powertrains.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks following OEM guidelines.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and observations in maintenance logs.
- Follow strict safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized workshop environment.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Support equipment commissioning, field service, and client demonstrations as needed.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and certification programs.

Qualifications
- Minimum SPM/equivalent or relevant technical qualification.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in a workshop environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop specialized heavy equipment skills.
- Valid driving licence is an advantage.
- Prior experience in heavy equipment maintenance is a plus but not required.
