Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driving logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Respond proactively to route changes, weather conditions, and traffic situations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong understanding of hazardous materials handling (HAZMAT certification preferred)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights and weekends
