Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D/3D technical drawings and patterns for custom upholstery furniture designs.
- Create accurate cutting lists and material specifications to optimize fabric and leather utilization.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to troubleshoot construction challenges during the prototype stage.
- Maintain an organized library of technical documents and design revisions.
- Conduct material research to ensure quality and comfort standards are met for every project.
- Prepare production-ready documentation for the manufacturing floor.
- Participate in design review meetings to ensure alignment with project aesthetics and budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a furniture drafter or upholstery pattern maker.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, or specialized furniture design software).
- Strong understanding of furniture construction, upholstery techniques, and frame design.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex design sketches and convert them into technical schematics.
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
