Responsibilities
- Define and execute the innovation roadmap, aligning with corporate strategy to drive business growth and customer-centric solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion with measurable business impact.
- Establish and manage a portfolio of innovation projects, prioritizing resources and mitigating risks across the program.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and agile thinking, facilitating design thinking workshops and rapid prototyping sessions.
- Collaborate with technology, marketing, product, and operations teams to integrate innovative solutions into existing banking platforms.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain, open banking) to assess potential applications and competitive advantage.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with fintechs, startups, and academic institutions to accelerate innovation pipelines.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for innovation initiatives, presenting insights and recommendations to the executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy, innovation, product management, or consulting within financial services or technology.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs from concept to successful delivery.
- Deep understanding of banking products, digital trends, and regulatory landscape in Malaysia.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with agile methodologies, design thinking, and innovation frameworks (e.g., Lean Startup, Stage-Gate).
