Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and calibrate underwater electrical and mechanical systems according to technical specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on workshop equipment and client-owned assets.
- Diagnose faults, replace defective components, and ensure all repairs meet quality standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and documentation for each task.
- Assist engineers in prototyping and customising solutions for specific client requirements.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and output.
Qualifications
- Diploma or NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on workshop experience, preferably in marine or industrial sectors.
- Strong practical skills with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and participate in ongoing technical training.
