Responsibilities
- Instruct students in public school classrooms, delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that engage diverse learners and foster critical thinking skills.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with school administrators, fellow teachers, and parents to build a strong school community.
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and coaching sessions to refine teaching practices.
- Advocate for the needs of students, ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities.
- Lead extracurricular activities and mentorship programs to support the holistic development of students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree holder in any field of study.
- A strong commitment to social justice, equity, and the mission of education reform.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, resilience, and a growth mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Willingness to undergo a two-year full-time commitment to the Fellowship.
- Valid Professional/Pre-Service Teacher Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Passion for working with underserved communities and youth.
