Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to support the academic and social development of students
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create a cohesive support system for students
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of ASD
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that respects the unique needs of each student
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
- Certification in special education or autism-related training is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with students with special needs
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of autism education
