Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation & Service: Prepare, plate, and serve meals to patients and hospital staff according to dietary requirements and menu schedules.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and friendly service to all patients, visitors, and employees, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Sanitation & Safety: Strictly adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor food stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and report any shortages or damages immediately.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and maintaining records.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the dining and service areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and nursing teams to accommodate specific patient needs and special dietary requests.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in food service or hospitality is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospital food service, or hotel hospitality is preferred.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and proper hygiene practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff.
