Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft cabin interior components, including seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, panels, and carpets.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify defects, wear, and damage on cabin furnishings and systems according to technical manuals and specifications.
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test various cabin items in a workshop setting, ensuring all work adheres to approved procedures and safety regulations.
- Utilize specialized tools, equipment, and diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repair tasks, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately, including repair logs, parts used, and work completed, ensuring full compliance with aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., CAAS, EASA, FAA).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow.
- Provide technical support and expertise for complex cabin interior issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Nitec or Diploma in Aerospace Technology, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in aircraft cabin interior maintenance, aviation MRO, or a similar precision mechanical/electrical workshop environment.
- Familiarity with aircraft cabin systems and components (e.g., seat mechanisms, In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems, galleys, lavatories, emergency equipment).
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and a steadfast commitment to quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized workshop equipment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation, accessing technical data, and using maintenance software.
- Physically fit and able to perform duties that may involve lifting, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
