About the Role:
As a key member of our engineering department, you will take full ownership of technical projects from the initial concept and design phases through to installation, testing, and handover. Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring strict adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project delivery and integration.
- Prepare, review, and manage technical specifications, engineering drawings, and comprehensive project documentation.
- Monitor project progress meticulously, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and implement effective mitigation strategies proactively.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and rigorous quality assurance checks to guarantee conformity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Manage project budgets diligently, track expenses, forecast costs, and provide accurate financial reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven working experience in project engineering, ideally within the technology, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies, lifecycle, and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or possess the ability to obtain registration is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexibly as required by project demands and deadlines.
