Robert Walters is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Allocator to join a leading retail organization on a 6-month maternity cover contract. Based in the heart of Singapore's Central Region, this role offers a dynamic environment where you will play a critical part in optimizing inventory distribution across multiple outlets.
As an Allocator, you will be responsible for ensuring the right products reach the right stores at the right time, balancing demand with supply to maximize sales and minimize stockouts. This is a fantastic chance to leverage your analytical skills and retail expertise within a fast-paced, high-performing team.
You will work closely with merchandising, supply chain, and store operations to drive efficiency and profitability. The position offers a competitive monthly salary of S$5,000 – S$6,000, aligned with market standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data and store-level inventory to create accurate allocation plans
- Monitor stock levels across all retail locations and adjust allocations proactively based on sell-through rates
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to align allocation strategies with promotional calendars and product launches
- Generate and distribute weekly and monthly allocation reports to key stakeholders
- Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend markdowns or transfers to optimize stock turns
- Support the replenishment process by coordinating with distribution centers on inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintain and update allocation parameters in the inventory management system
- Assist in seasonal stock planning and pre-allocation for new store openings
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in allocation, inventory planning, or merchandising within retail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, data modeling)
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of retail KPIs such as sell-through, stock-to-sales ratio, and weeks of supply
