Caldic is seeking a dynamic Application Development Executive (Bakery) to lead innovation in our bakery portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to develop new formulations, improve existing recipes, and translate consumer insights into marketâready products. You will manage the endâtoâend product development lifecycle, from concept ideation and labâscale trials to pilot plant execution and commercial launch. Your expertise will ensure that our bakery solutions meet the highest standards of taste, texture, shelfâlife, and nutritional value while adhering to food safety regulations. You will also be responsible for monitoring market trends, conducting sensory evaluations, and providing technical support to sales and marketing teams. Responsibilities
- Lead bakery formulation development from concept to commercialization.
- Design and execute labâscale and pilot plant trials to validate new recipes.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to align product development with business objectives.
- Conduct sensory evaluation and shelfâlife testing to ensure product quality.
- Monitor ingredient performance and recommend optimizations for cost and functionality.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Support scaleâup activities and troubleshoot production issues during launch phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Bakery Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3â5 years of experience in bakery product development or application technology.
- Proven track record of launching successful bakery products in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of bakery ingredients, formulation techniques, and processing methods.
- Experience with sensory analysis, texture profiling, and shelfâlife studies.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, HALAL) and quality management systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for crossâfunctional collaboration.
