Job Description

Jetour, a rapidly expanding global automotive brand under the Chery Group, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assembly Manager to lead our premium vehicle assembly operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Bekasi, West Java. As a key member of our manufacturing leadership team, you will be responsible for driving world-class production excellence, ensuring stringent quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety (K3).

In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the entire vehicle assembly process, from inbound logistics and line-side material handling through trim, chassis, final line, and quality inspection. You will manage and mentor a large team of production supervisors and skilled technicians, implementing advanced lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure our ambitious production targets are met on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the vehicle assembly line to achieve production volume and schedule adherence goals.
  • Champion the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate a team of Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and assembly technicians, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments to troubleshoot assembly issues, optimize processes, and ensure a seamless production flow.
  • Monitor and analyze production KPIs (e.g., cycle time, throughput, downtime, scrap rate) to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective action plans.
  • Enforce strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (K3) standards, company policies, and environmental regulations within the assembly area.
  • Manage departmental budgets, including labor, overtime, and operational expenses, to meet financial targets while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Oversee the launch of new vehicle models (New Model Introduction) and the implementation of engineering changes on the assembly line.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing assembly, with at least 3 years in a senior management or managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing a full vehicle assembly process (Trim, Chassis, Final, and Inspection) in a high-volume OEM environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies (VSM, 5S, TPM, SMED, Kanban, JIT).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a large, multi-shift workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex production and technical problems using data-driven approaches (PDCA, Six Sigma is a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Willing to be based full-time in our manufacturing facility in Bekasi, West Java, and able to work flexible hours when required.
