Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support kitchen operations including prep work, ingredient preparation, and station setup
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed to support overall kitchen flow
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and quality food production
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Support inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
- Assist senior chefs during peak service hours and special events
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
