Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality control inspections on manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Utilize precision measurement instruments including Micrometers, Calipers, and Dial Indicators effectively.
- Support the senior engineering team in troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Assist in the operation and programming of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for detailed quality assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and quality reports for all inspected parts and process adjustments.
- Collaborate with production operators to identify and mitigate process deviations to reduce waste.
- Participate in equipment maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure optimal machine performance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience using measurement tools such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Dial Indicators.
- Basic familiarity with CMM operations and principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication skills to report findings to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality control setting is highly advantageous.
