In this critical shift-based role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational reliability of the signalling systems on the Downtown Line (DTL). You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and punctuality of our train services, working closely with a dedicated team of technicians and executives. Your primary focus will be on supervising the maintenance team and supporting the Executive in overall maintenance strategy, fault analysis, and system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians in the preventive and corrective maintenance of the DTL Signalling system.
  • Support the Executive Engineer in planning and executing maintenance schedules and asset improvement works.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on signalling equipment (e.g., interlocking, train control, trackside equipment).
  • Respond promptly to signalling faults and service disruptions, coordinating rectification efforts to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, fault reports, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Assist in the commissioning and testing of new signalling equipment or software upgrades.
  • Perform shift duties, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Communication / Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in signalling systems, railway operations, or electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, microprocessors, and control systems.
  • Experience in CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) systems will be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
