Responsibilities
- Oversee daily engineering operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventative maintenance systems
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory control, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and brand protocols
- Coordinate with other departments to support guest services and special events
- Implement energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable maintenance practices
- Respond to emergency situations and equipment breakdowns with decisive leadership
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or related technical field with 3+ years hospitality experience
- Proven supervisory experience in hotel engineering or facilities management
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Certification in maintenance management or engineering preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and CMMS systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
