Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical building services including HVAC, fire protection systems, and hydraulic installations.
  • Lead a team of technicians and contractors to ensure all maintenance work meets safety standards and project timelines.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify areas for energy optimization and cost-saving improvements.
  • Manage technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on equipment performance, budget expenditures, and project milestones for senior management.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage shutdowns and service interruptions to minimize impact on guest operations.
  • Drive the procurement and installation of new mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal asset lifecycle management.
  • Ensure all engineering activities strictly adhere to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facility management, building services, or industrial mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS), and local mechanical safety codes.
  • Proven track record in project management, specifically in large-scale commercial or hospitality facilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite; experience with CMMS software is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse technical teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and provide support for emergency operations as required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
