MSIG is looking for a dynamic and strategic Assistant Manager, Segment Profit Centre - Health to support the Head of Department in achieving the Health Insurance department's goals for profitable growth. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Department in formulating and executing the Health Insurance segment's strategic growth plans and financial targets.
- Analyze segment performance data, market trends, and profitability reports to identify areas for improvement and drive profitable growth.
- Manage the segment's budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management regarding profit centre performance and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and product teams to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of health insurance products.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and operational efficiencies within the Health segment.
- Lead or support key projects related to digital transformation and customer engagement in the healthcare sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on health insurance or profit centre management.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore insurance regulatory framework and healthcare landscape.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market reports.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial software, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
