Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily laboratory operations in strict accordance with GMP and internal quality protocols.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the chemistry team to ensure high performance and career development.
- Oversee chemical analysis projects, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery of results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, to support global initiatives.
- Manage laboratory resources, equipment calibration, and maintenance schedules to optimize efficiency.
- Implement process improvements and Lean methodology to streamline laboratory workflows.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior scientists.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, HSA).
- Proven experience in team leadership, personnel management, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and dissolution testing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical data to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed global corporate environment.
