Responsibilities
- Inspect, prepare, and process metal components using chiselling and coldworking techniques to exact specifications.
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks to support maintenance and production needs in an aviationâadjacent setting.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, drawings, and work orders ensuring accuracy and quality compliance.
- Operate hand tools and portable equipment safely, maintaining calibration and condition of tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; document workmanship and report defects or deviations promptly.
- Adhere to safety policies, participate in toolbox talks, and promote a culture of safe work practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, embracing new techniques and procedures as they arise.
Qualifications
- 1â2 years of experience as a general technician or in metalworking, chiselling, or coldwork roles.
- Basic understanding of metal fabrication, finishing, and inspection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and work orders.
- Strong handâeye coordination and manual dexterity; good physical stamina for manual tasks.
- Willingness to work in an industrial environment and comply with safety regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Prior experience in aviation or PKFZ industrial settings is a plus; willingness to learn and adapt.
- Eligible to work in Malaysia and able to commute to Klang/Port Klang.
