Zone Out Coffee OPC is seeking a motivated Barista to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a Barista, you will be the face of our cafe, delivering high-quality espresso and handmade beverages with warmth and consistency. You will craft drinks to standard recipes, greet guests, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
In this full-time role, you will combine coffee craft with excellent guest service. You’ll learn our brewing methods, latte art techniques, and product knowledge to help guests choose the perfect beverage. A strong attention to detail, time management, and a can-do attitude are essential to thrive in our fast-paced environment. We support your growth with ongoing training, clear feedback, and opportunities to advance within the cafe team.
Key responsibilities include managing orders with accuracy, handling POS transactions, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and properly maintaining equipment. You’ll collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth cafe operations from opening to closing, while maintaining our brand standards and guest-first mindset. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, and non-coffee offerings, following standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Ensure order accuracy, upsell items where appropriate, and deliver prompt service to every guest.
- Operate the POS system, handle cash and card transactions, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety across the cafe, including food safety practices and equipment sanitation.
- Monitor coffee equipment, perform basic maintenance, and promptly report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Restock ingredients and supplies (beans, milk, syrups, cups) and manage inventory to minimize waste.
- Provide exceptional guest experiences by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing feedback with a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Prior barista or cafe experience is preferred; training available for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and basics of latte art.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends.
- Basic math and cash handling abilities; comfortable using a POS system.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a passion for coffee and guest service.
