Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, latte) and other drinks according to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, including equipment, utensils, and work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment; perform routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
  • Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate stock needs to management in a timely manner.
  • Handle cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate end-of-shift reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours and special events.
  • Stay updated on new coffee trends and techniques; participate in training sessions to continuously improve skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk frothing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Certification in barista training or food safety is an advantage but not mandatory.
