Join MEC as a BIM Coordinator / Draftsperson and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality building information models for projects across the West Region. In this fullâtime position you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure designs are accurate, clashâfree, and ready for fabrication.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed BIM models, conducting quality checks, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure and building projects while enhancing your expertise in industryâleading software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities
- Develop and update BIM models using Revit, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
- Perform clash detection and coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams to resolve conflicts early in the design process.
- Generate accurate 2D drawings, schedules, and extracts from BIM models for construction documentation.
- Maintain model libraries, families, and standards to improve efficiency across projects.
- Provide technical support and training to junior drafters and project staff on BIM workflows.
- Assist in preparing BIM execution plans and monitoring adherence throughout project phases.
- Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators to ensure model data translates correctly to shop drawings and fabrication.
- Stay current with emerging BIM technologies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator, Draftsperson, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360 or similar collaboration platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, MEP systems, and architectural workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Detailâoriented with strong problemâsolving abilities and a commitment to delivering highâquality work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastâpaced environment.
- Familiarity with local building codes and standards (Singapore) is advantageous.
