From humble beginnings as a tug and barge operator, our company has grown into a strong regional player in the Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) industry. We are now seeking an experienced and highly skilled Bosun to join our team on a contract basis in Indonesia. As a Bosun, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels, leading the deck crew and maintaining the highest standards of safety and maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the deck crew during mooring, anchoring, cargo operations, and routine maintenance.
- Ensure all deck equipment, including cranes, winches, and life-saving appliances, are properly maintained and inspected.
- Conduct regular safety drills (e.g., fire, man overboard, abandonment) and maintain safety records.
- Assist the Chief Officer in planning and executing deck maintenance schedules, including painting, chipping, and corrosion control.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies, international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL), and ISM code.
- Oversee the loading and securing of cargo, equipment, and supplies to ensure stability and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of deck log books, inventory, and maintenance reports.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior deck crew members to enhance their skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bosun or equivalent supervisory role on offshore support vessels or similar.
- Valid STCW certificates (Basic Safety, Fire Fighting, Survival Craft, Medical First Aid, etc.).
- Proven knowledge of deck operations, rigging, and heavy lift procedures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Physical fitness and medical fitness for offshore work (valid medical certificate).
- Familiarity with safety management systems and risk assessment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional maritime qualifications are a plus.
