JBW FloorCenter, Inc., a leading retailer in the Philippines, is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Branch Cashier to join our dynamic team in Olongapo City.
As a Branch Cashier, you will be the frontline representative of our company, ensuring exceptional customer service while efficiently handling all financial transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to operate our point-of-sale (POS) systems with accuracy and professionalism, providing a seamless checkout experience for every customer.
In this role, you will receive and process various payment methods including cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards, maintaining precision in all monetary transactions. You will be responsible for verifying the authenticity of payments, counting money accurately, and ensuring that all transactions are properly documented.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently during all transactions
- Receive and process payments in cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards
- Ensure proper handling and verification of all monetary transactions
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and perform end-of-shift reconciliations
- Process product returns and exchanges following company policies
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets
- Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and well-stocked
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college level is a plus)
- At least 6 months of experience as a cashier or in a similar retail role
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling electronic payments
- Basic mathematical skills with strong attention to numerical accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Filipino
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Honest, reliable, and with a strong sense of accountability
