As a Building Engineer, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, life-safety, and plumbing systems. You will monitor building conditions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely, quality service. You will also drive energy efficiency initiatives and ensure compliance with local regulations and CBRE standards. Responsibilities
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing) to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and document equipment issues; maintain accurate records in the CMMS/work order system.
- Monitor and respond to building management systems (BMS) and security alarms; implement operational overrides when required.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors; supervise work quality, safety compliance, and timely completion.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules; manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations; maintain clear safety signage and procedures.
- Collaborate with facilities teams and site leadership to support operations, space planning, and project initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-4 years of facilities management or building engineering experience; BPO or large commercial environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems; familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Analytical, hands-on problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and vendor management abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical license, or facilities management) are advantageous.
