MIESCOR, a leading engineering and construction firm with a strong presence in the Philippines, invites a skilled CAD Operator to join our Head Office in Ortigas. This role supports project teams by converting concepts into precise technical drawings and blueprints. You will produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, annotate drawings with dimensions, notes, and material specifications, and ensure alignment with project standards. You will work closely with engineers and architects to implement design changes, verify calculations, and maintain complete drawing sets across multiple projects. The successful candidate will manage revision control, organize digital libraries, and help prepare as-built documentation for project handovers.

Your daily tasks will include coordinating with engineers to capture design intent, converting sketches and redlines into accurate CAD drawings, and performing quality checks before submission. You will support the project teams by producing assemblies, details, sections, and plans, ensuring legibility and standardization. You will explain design decisions when necessary and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes and templates. Ensuring compliance with safety, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings and 3D models from sketches and markups using AutoCAD or equivalent tools.
- Prepare layouts, sections, and detailed drawings for architectural and engineering projects with clear dimensions and notes.
- Revise drawings based on engineer/architect feedback, maintain version control, and ensure up-to-date drawing sets.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and relevant codes.
- Collaborate with project teams to interpret design intent and provide timely CAD support.
- Create as-built drawings and documentation for project handovers and closeouts.
- Manage digital drawing libraries and organize files for easy retrieval by the team.
- Assist with related documentation such as bill of materials and quantity takeoffs as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field; or relevant work experience in CAD drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or other CAD tools is a plus.
- Understanding of engineering drawing standards and conventions.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numerical competency.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers and architects.
- Time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple drawings and deadlines.
- Basic file management and version control practices; organized approach to digital documentation.
