Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and e-wallets.
- Provide a warm and friendly greeting to all customers upon arrival and departure.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout counter area.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Ensure all items are scanned correctly and promotional discounts are applied accurately.
- Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift, documenting any discrepancies.
- Assist in general store merchandising and restocking duties during downtime.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling cash and providing change accurately.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and e-wallet applications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shift hours.
- Strong sense of integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
