Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day cashiering operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency at the point of sale.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of cashier staff, providing coaching and training where necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to cash handling policies and secure proper documentation of all daily transactions.
- Handle complex customer inquiries or complaints at the checkout counter to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Manage cashier scheduling, break rotations, and workflow distribution during peak hours.
- Conduct daily audit and reconciliation of cash registers, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant checkout area in line with company safety and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Cashier Lead, Supervisor, or in a similar retail management capacity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent numerical proficiency and high attention to detail regarding cash management.
- Outstanding interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work on a shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays.
