As the Cashiering Supervisor, you will be the key point of contact for all matters related to the checkout area, from managing cash floats to resolving transaction discrepancies. You will work closely with the Store Management and Accounting departments to ensure seamless daily operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the cashiering team to ensure efficient and accurate daily cashiering operations.
- Oversee the proper batching, balancing, and accounting of all cash, credit card, and charge transaction documents.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate cashier staff to ensure strict adherence to company SOPs and cash handling policies.
- Manage cash floats, monitor cash discrepancies, prepare end-of-day reports, and ensure store remittances are accurate.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries related to billing and transactions in a professional and timely manner.
- Implement and enforce loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage and secure cashier stations.
- Coordinate with the Accounting and Operations departments for seamless store-wide financial reconciliation.
- Create and manage cashier schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours and special events.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any Business, Finance, Accountancy, or related field.
- At least 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in cashiering or retail operations.
- Strong knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and financial reconciliation.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Willing to work in Naga City, Camarines Sur, and can start immediately.
- Must be amenable to shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
