As a Category Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our retail operations, responsible for managing product assortments, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that our shelves are stocked with the high-quality items our customers love.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and inventory turnover targets.
- Identify and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and exclusive product opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to optimize product assortment.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from forecasting demand to monitoring supplier performance.
- Collaborate with store operations to ensure effective product placement and promotional execution.
- Monitor and maintain healthy stock levels to prevent out-of-stocks and minimize overstock scenarios.
- Prepare regular performance reports and business reviews for management stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in category management, procurement, or retail buying.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of the local retail market dynamics and consumer preferences in the Philippines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple supplier relationships and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive, data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
