Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality vendors and manufacturers locally and abroad.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-efficiency and supply chain reliability.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify gaps and opportunities in the current product range.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock turnover and minimizing aged inventory.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional strategies and product placement plans.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers based on quality, lead times, and compliance.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from initial sourcing and sampling to final store delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or category management within the retail sector.
- Strong understanding of furniture market dynamics and consumer trends in the Philippines.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of ERP or inventory management software.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to work on-site in Quezon City.
