In this role, you will be an integral part of a professional technical team where innovation meets industry standards. Your primary focus will be to oversee the end-to-end certification process for a diverse range of engineering products, liaising with testing labs, regulatory bodies, and internal engineering teams. You'll prepare and review technical documentation, track certification timelines, and guarantee compliance with Malaysian and international standards such as ISO and IEC.

Responsibilities
- Manage the complete certification lifecycle for products, from application submission to final approval.
- Coordinate with testing laboratories, standards bodies, and internal engineering teams to ensure timely completion of required tests.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation, including test reports, compliance statements, and certification applications.
- Conduct gap analyses against relevant Malaysian and international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC) to identify non-conformities.
- Track certification milestones and deadlines, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Perform internal audits and support external audit processes to verify adherence to quality procedures.
- Liaise with clients and external agencies to resolve certification issues and answer technical queries.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, recommending efficiencies in the certification workflow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in product certification, compliance testing, or quality assurance within an engineering environment.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian and international standards such as ISO, IEC, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Prior exposure to SIRIM Berhad or other certification bodies is advantageous but not essential.
