Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete certification lifecycle for products, from application submission to final approval.
  • Coordinate with testing laboratories, standards bodies, and internal engineering teams to ensure timely completion of required tests.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation, including test reports, compliance statements, and certification applications.
  • Conduct gap analyses against relevant Malaysian and international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC) to identify non-conformities.
  • Track certification milestones and deadlines, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Perform internal audits and support external audit processes to verify adherence to quality procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and external agencies to resolve certification issues and answer technical queries.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, recommending efficiencies in the certification workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in product certification, compliance testing, or quality assurance within an engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of Malaysian and international standards such as ISO, IEC, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Prior exposure to SIRIM Berhad or other certification bodies is advantageous but not essential.
