Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless workflow and exceptional output.
  • Innovate and develop exciting new menus, dishes, and seasonal specials that captivate and appeal to diverse palates.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency for all served items.
  • Strategically manage food inventory, meticulously control costs, and proactively minimize waste without compromising quality.
  • Lead, train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Maintain and enforce strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards within the kitchen.
  • Collaborate effectively with management to plan and successfully execute special events, catering services, and promotions.
  • Monitor and ensure full compliance with all local health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Head Cook, preferably within a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment.
  • A culinary degree or professional certification from an accredited institution is a significant advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and culinary procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creative menu development, recipe costing, and efficient inventory management.
