Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and menu standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain strict food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering ingredients and minimizing food waste.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food preparation and presentation.
- Develop new menu items and seasonal specials to enhance the customer dining experience.
- Monitor food quality and address any guest concerns regarding meal preparation promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
- Excellent understanding of HACCP guidelines and food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Relevant certification in Culinary Arts or related hospitality training is highly preferred.
