Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard across assigned kitchen sections.
- Ensure mise en place is completed before and during service to support smooth operations.
- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation in line with HACCP and local regulations.
- Monitor portion control and manage food costs to support profitability.
- Collaborate with Head Chef on menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe costing.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and safety.
- Oversee plating accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver guest satisfaction and timely service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen (minimum 2 years for junior roles).
- Professional culinary training or diploma; advanced techniques encouraged.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Excellent knife skills and culinary techniques across multiple cuisines.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and lead a small team.
- Creative mindset with a passion for menu development and plating.
